What can you expect?

In the role of (Junior) Production Planning and Scheduling Specialist, you will take on a range of critical tasks to streamline our production processes to ensure the timely delivery of our innovative therapies to patients who need them the most. Here's a snapshot of your core responsibilities: 

  • Develop and optimize production plans: You craft detailed production schedules, aligning with clinical and commercial demand forecasts to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain. You constantly strive to optimize planning and scheduling.  
  • Material and resource coordination: You monitor material consumption and coordinate the release of process orders, ensuring materials are available when needed so that production targets are met. 
  • Stakeholder management and strategy alignment: You build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across manufacturing, operations planning, procurement, ... to facilitate seamless production flows. You closely collaborate with other planners to align and execute the overall supply chain strategy. We challenge you to think critically with us about developing strategic planning methodologies and tools that ensure scalable, sustainable operations that can handle increased demand. 
  • Performance Monitoring: You keep a close eye on progress against the plan, identifying potential disruptions and working proactively to devise contingency strategies.  
  • Reporting and communication: You prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and other communications to keep all stakeholders informed of planning statuses and initiatives.

Who are we looking for?

Education:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, a related field of study or equivalent work experience.  

Experience:

  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a supply chain or operations role, preferably within a cGMP environment in the biotech or pharma sector.  

Languages: 

  • You are fluent in Dutch and/or English with strong written and oral communication skills

  • You have rock-solid analytical skills. You know how to interpret complex data and how to transform challenges into opportunities. 

  • You are highly organized and capable of prioritizing and multitasking. 

  • You enjoy working independently but you are also a real people person. You excel in building strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders 

  • You possess a problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset 

Expertise:

  • You have a good knowledge and understanding of advanced supply chain planning practices and principles (materials management, production scheduling, ...) and/or pharmaceutical operations. 

  • You are tech-savvy. You quickly adopt and embrace new systems, processes and procedures. You know your way around in Excel and ERP systems. Knowledge of S4 Hana is a plus.
