The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented buy-side contracts Associate Counsel to join our fast-paced legal team to support our internal business partners. Must have experience with complex technology contracts, and an interest in evolving AI space.

In this role, you will:
1. Review and negotiate a range of vendor contracts and provide related legal support to internal business partners in a decentralized procurement environment. Contracts include complex technology agreements, leases, design and construction services agreements, copyright license agreements, non-disclosure agreements, consulting and services agreements, media and advertising agreements, and event venue agreements.
2. Assist in maintaining a vendor contract database and perform other legal operations functions.
3. Assist in developing processes, templates, playbooks, and self-service contracts tools as Veeva continues to grow.
What You'll DoReview, redline, and negotiate vendor contracts (buy-side contracts)Respond to contract review requests, consult directly with internal business partners to define contract requirements, verify details and provide advice as neededRespond to inquiries regarding internal procurement processes and contract interpretationDocument buy-side contract metadata to enable contract managementUse electronic signing platform to send contracts for signatureWork with the legal team and internal clients to define requirements for buy-side agreements, and develop playbooks, templates, and other resourcesCoordinate with the finance team and other stakeholdersOther ad hoc special assignmentsRequirementsGraduate of an accredited law school and member in good standing of an applicable state bar or professional organizationExperience in-house at a tech company, law firm, life sciences, or similar fast-paced environment2+ years transactional experience reviewing, redlining, and negotiating agreementsCore competencies include technology agreements, domestic privacy law and GDPR, commercial leases and construction agreementsAbility to communicate clearly and conciselyStrong aptitude towards drafting accurate documents, emails, and written materials, while still being concise and digestible for non-lawyers. Attention to detail is a mustProficient using MS Word including document editing, redlining and comparison functions as well as Adobe and G-Suite toolsAbility to bring positive energy, agility and humility to a wide variety of tasks and bring a high-quality customer service approach to responsibilities#LI-Remote
