We’re looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager to support our Platform and API teams atHealthie. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive the growth and scalability of our platform infrastructure and API while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and efficiency of Healthie’s core systems.

About the role

The Engineering Manager will focus on managing and scaling the Platform/API team's initiatives, which include overseeing the development and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and developer experience tooling & resources. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions that support Healthie’s growth and long-term vision.

This is the ideal role for someone passionate about supporting exceptional engineers, eager to foster collaboration across teams, and excited to create an environment where engineers can thrive. Our ideal candidate is technically strong, a proven leader, and dedicated to driving performance and growth within the engineering team. Details

• This is a full-time, hybrid position located in our NYC HQ or LA office.
• The base salary for this role is $180,000-$200,000 per year.

About you

• You have 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a management role focused on platform engineering or DevOps (bonus for experience in healthcare tech).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse, non-technical audiences.
• You have a proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, setting clear goals and driving performance while maintaining a focus on scalability and reliability.
• You excel at building strong relationships with cross-functional teams, leading with influence, and motivating engineers to achieve high performance and deliver results.
• You take ownership of recruiting, hiring, and building top-performing teams that are aligned with the company's technical vision and goals.
• You are a strong problem-solver, able to quickly address technical challenges related to infrastructure, cloud platforms, and deployment pipelines while collaborating with other teams.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar technologies.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as Ruby, Python, Go, or similar, and strong experience with infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and automation.
• You thrive in self-directed environments, with a bias toward execution, and a focus on driving scalable solutions that support both short-term and long-term business needs.
• You are passionate about building high-performance platforms that support the delivery of mission-critical applications, and you are committed to improving infrastructure reliability, performance, and scalability.
