Purpose
The role of the Business Services Group (BSG) Exhibit Account Manager II (EAM II) is to manage Global Exhibits through successful project management, planning and delivery, while building strong working relationships with brand teams and medical affairs. This person will own the end-to-end delivery and execution of both small and large, complex booths utilizing standard processes and procedures to achieve team satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities: 60-75% of time is spent managing Exhibits at Tier 1 congresses across all Therapeutic Areas. Tier 1 congresses are our largest and most complex congresses in terms of size, scope and spend. They include participation across multiple Abbvie HQ functions and involve the largest number of stakeholders.
- Communicate the service and BSG value proposition to internal stakeholders. Assist internal stakeholders to understand and conform to Abbvie and industry guidelines and standards. Leads regular cross-functional stakeholder and vendor meetings on exhibit planning, strategizing booth engagement and trends within the Therapeutic Areas.
- Build, manage, and reconcile booth budgets and final billing across multiple vendors and multiple internal cost centers, relative to the exhibit. Responsible for negotiating with vendors, identify, quantify and report cost avoidance/savings measures on all exhibit elements.
- Acts as Subject Matter Expert for EAM team on training updates and congress execution trends, as needed. Leads the onboarding process and manages the training for new EAM team members.
- Conduct ongoing Booth/Event Team Meetings with stakeholders and BSG support colleagues. Partner with multiple Global Commercial Marketing leads, Project Managers, Creative Agencies, and both US and Global Medical stakeholders to determine strategy for booth design and pull-through of a differentiated and insights-driven booth experience.
- Manage development of creative materials including booth panels, traffic builders, and other promotional opportunities. Generate, implement, and track timelines of print and digital marketing assets within the booth.
- Liaise with and provide direction to exhibit house and I&D vendors. Travel on-site, both US and OUS, to manage the successful execution of assigned exhibits (both domestic and international travel, approximately 50% estimated yearly travel). Attend client debrief sessions post congress.
- Project Manage team and cross-functional projects as assigned by management, related to broader BSG Meeting and Event Team initiatives.
