The Position:

In this role, you will join the Information Systems Security global team, which is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting solutions and technologies that provide Security Services worldwide within Roche.
Operational activities are a key focus for our team, as we work to ensure the ongoing reliability and effectiveness of security solutions. In particular, this role will have a primary focus on designing, configuring, and maintaining the monitoring infrastructure to ensure robust and proactive system oversight. As part of the team, you will also actively engage in day-to-day operational tasks, provide technical support, and offer technological consulting to maintain and enhance security across all systems

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Optimization: Responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of network security monitoring solutions. This involves defining clear requirements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and effective alerting strategies to ensure extensive coverage of all critical components.

  • Visibility and Collaboration: Develop and maintain dashboards that provide real-time visibility into network security. Collaborate closely with various teams to facilitate seamless integration of monitoring solutions.

  • Incident Support and Improvement: Offer expert support during security and infrastructure incidents and continuously strive to enhance the effectiveness of network security monitoring.

  • Operations:  Available for on-call support on a rotating schedule.

Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in designing, configuring, and managing monitoring infrastructures; prior experience with monitoring tools, such as LogicMonitor, is highly desirable.

  • Experience working with firewalls, with a preference for Fortinet and Palo Alto solutions

 

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in Security with a strong networking background.

  • Demonstrated experience in Reliability & Observability related toolchains (LogicMonitor, Splunk ITSI, DataDog, ELK, Grafana among others) 

  • Demonstrated experience in developing using DevOps/IaC languages and toolchains such as Python, Groovy, Gitlab, Gitlab-ci, jenkins.

  • Solid understanding of Security concepts, trends and best practices with experience in validated environments.

  • Hands-on technical security skills, operational background, and experience with security technologies and underlying infrastructure

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Ability to work in a global team.

  • Knowledge and/or experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

  • Other relevant certifications: CCNP Security, CISSP

  • Agile framework / methodologies
