About the role

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support and ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems. This role serves as the first point of contact for employees experiencing hardware, software, and network issues and plays a critical role in maintaining a productive, secure, and service-oriented technology environment.

The ideal candidate is a responsive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and is committed to delivering exceptional service across all levels of the organization.

This hybrid position is currently expected to be in our Palo Alto office two days per week, with the option to work remotely three days per week.

What you'll do

The IT Support Specialist is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the day-to-day IT needs of Evommune employees, both onsite and remote. The ideal candidate brings experience supporting Windows and macOS environments, a solid understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routers, switches), and a strong service mindset.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical support—troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including laptop setup, account provisioning, and access management.
  • Provide timely resolution of help desk tickets and escalate complex issues when needed.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain software, hardware, and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve or properly close aging support tickets.
  • Conduct technical setup and training for new hires.
  • Maintain accurate technology inventory records.
  • Administer accounts, backup solutions, and cloud-based services.
  • Manage local office IT infrastructure and support video conferencing tools.
  • Document procedures and update knowledge base resources.
  • Lead and support small IT projects from start to finish.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting both Mac and Windows operating systems (Windows 11, macOS).
  • Strong knowledge of networking, workstations, and SaaS tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience supporting executive-level users.
  • Experience with device management tools (Microsoft Intune, Mosyle MDM preferred).
  • Experience with ManageEngine ServiceDesk+ is a plus.
  • Familiarity with lab/scientific applications such as ChemDraw, MSD, and GraphPad preferred.
  • Proficiency with Zoom and Microsoft Teams support and administration.
  • Experience supporting printers and peripheral devices in a corporate setting.
  • PowerShell scripting experience is a plus.
  • MCDST, A+, ACMT, or ITIL certifications are a plus.

Key Competencies for Success

  • Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to explain technical issues in clear, non-technical language.
  • High level of initiative; able to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
  • Well-organized with strong time management and documentation skills.
  • Team player committed to creating a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset—committed to ongoing learning and staying current with technology trends.
  • Brings a solutions-oriented approach and thrives in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $86,000 - $105,000 and the position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses and/or equity-linked compensation.  Salary ranges are determined by role, level and location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
