The Payroll Business Analyst role in Digital & Technology is a Subject Matter Expert role that supports accurate, timely, and compliant global payroll operations across multiple countries and payroll providers.
The role serves as a key operational contact supporting day to day payroll delivery, coordination with Payroll Operations and external providers, issue resolution, audit support, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
The role partners closely with People Experience (PX) teams by region, Payroll Operations, Finance, Tax, Digital & Technology Time & Attendance and Payroll teams and act as a Digital & Technology SME to ensure payroll and time data are processed correctly and efficiently within a global operating model.
In this Manager role, you provide guidance to operational teams, manage projects, and facilitate agreements between different teams. Your planning skills will help in preparing forecasts for resource requirements, and providing areas of improvement for products, processes and services. Through your comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and theories of the domain, you will advance new concepts and methodologies.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide subject matter expertise and operational leadership for end‑to‑end global payroll and Time & Attendance processing across multiple countries, vendors, and payroll cycles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Lead and support cross‑functional initiatives and projects, including payroll process improvements, system enhancements, integrations, and testing activities, coordinating with Digital & Technology, Payroll Operations, People Experience, Finance, Tax, and ERP teams.
Coordinate global payroll operations by managing payroll calendars, pay cycles, data inputs, validations, and operational handoffs across regions and external payroll service providers.
Monitor payroll controls, compliance, and performance metrics, proactively identifying discrepancies, risks, and improvement opportunities, and driving timely issue resolution.
Partner with Payroll Operations and external vendors to support issue tracking, escalation, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement within an outsourced/shared services model.
Support payroll audits, statutory reporting, and compliance inquiries, collaborating with People Experience, Finance, Tax, and Payroll Operations teams to ensure regulatory adherence and audit readiness.
Evaluate and influence payroll and Time & Attendance solutions, contributing to business cases, solution design decisions, and requirement alignment to meet business and customer needs.
Maintain and enhance payroll and Time & Attendance documentation, training, knowledge sharing, supporting consistent global processes, system utilization, and sustainable operations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
4 years of hands‑on payroll operational experience.
Experience working in outsourced or shared‑service payroll models.
Basic working knowledge of Time & Attendance processes and payroll integration.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet payroll deadlines.
Demonstrated experience of various Information Technology practices
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with global payroll platforms and vendors, e.g. ADP, Dayforce.
Experience with Time & Attendance systems, e.g. ADP, WFM and Workday Integrations.
Payroll audit or compliance support experience.
Data extraction, reporting, or reconciliation experience.
Experience working in a complex, highly regulated global organization.
Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel Or Environment Requirements
Flexibility to support critical/urgent global payroll processing cycles, including limited after‑hours or weekend support.
Occasional travel, up to 10%, as required.
