Position Summary

The Oncology & Specialty Care Market Access Manager will be responsible for developing and executing market access strategies to ensure timely and sustainable patient access to innovative oncology and specialty care medicines across the Central America and Caribbean (CARICAM) region.

The role will work cross-functionally with Medical, Commercial, Finance, and regional teams to design value-based access solutions aligned with the needs of healthcare systems, decision makers, and patients. The position will also lead strategic engagement with payers, health authorities, hospitals, and other key stakeholders to support reimbursement and coverage decisions.

This role reports to the Value & Market Access Head and plays a critical role in translating clinical and economic value into access strategies that maximize patient impact while supporting sustainable healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze the external healthcare environment across Central America and the Caribbean, maintaining internal teams informed about reimbursement landscapes, pricing dynamics, and public policy trends that may impact patient access.
  • Develop and execute innovative value-based pricing and access strategies aligned with stakeholder needs, working collaboratively with Medical, Marketing, and Finance to optimize market access opportunities.
  • Lead and coordinate regional Key Account Access activities, supporting strategic account management and stakeholder engagement with public and private payers, hospitals, and healthcare institutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical, Commercial, and Finance teams to design and implement access initiatives, including projects requiring rigorous methodological approaches and generation of secondary evidence supporting product value throughout the lifecycle.
  • Provide strategic and technical support for pricing decisions, including assessment of competitive risks, international reference pricing dynamics, and value-based pricing frameworks.
  • Drive the generation and application of health economic evidence aligned with stakeholder needs and strategic priorities, working closely with the Value Evidence & Outcomes (VEO) team to support reimbursement submissions and access negotiations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, public health, economics, business administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within the healthcare sector, including roles related to coverage decisions, reimbursement, pricing, or financing of health technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with health authorities, payers, hospital decision-makers, or procurement bodies within healthcare systems.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to address complex healthcare access challenges and translate evidence into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex scientific or economic concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced English proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in public health, health economics, epidemiology, health policy, pharmacy, medicine, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in market access within oncology or specialty care therapeutic areas.
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and reimbursement mechanisms across Central America and the Caribbean.
  • Experience developing health economic analyses, value dossiers, or reimbursement submissions supporting access decisions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and economic modelling tools such as advanced Excel, Stata, R, SPSS, or similar analytical software.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage stakeholder engagement within a matrix organizational environment.
