As the Medical Director - Infection & Immunity, you will join a high-impact team dedicated to advancing our infectious diseases diagnostic solutions that shape the future of patient care. In this role, you will bridge the gap between breakthrough science and clinical practice, driving the global medical strategy for our innovative portfolio. You will work in a collaborative, matrixed environment where your expertise directly contributes to Roche’s mission of delivering better outcomes for society.
The Opportunity
This is a pivotal role where you will contribute to the global medical and scientific strategy for key assets within e.g. Tuberculosis portfolio, ensuring our diagnostic solutions meet evolving clinical needs. This role is internally known as Global Medical Affairs Lead.
Build and Execute Strategy: You will work in a matrixed environment to create and execute the global medical plan, aligning key initiatives with the International Business Team to support the utilization of Roche Molecular Diagnostics products.
Drive Innovation: You will translate emerging scientific trends into actionable evidence-generation strategies by partnering closely with R&D, Clinical Development, and Regulatory teams.
Build Partnerships: You will cultivate deep, peer-to-peer relationships with global therapeutic area experts and collaborative groups to align scientific initiatives with organizational goals.
Manage Clinical Programs: You will direct the execution of non-registrational clinical trials and Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) while ensuring global study alignment across functions.
Communicate Impact: You will distill complex scientific insights into compelling narratives for medical education and payer dossiers to support global commercial success.
Embrace Modern Tools: You will leverage AI tools in your daily work to enhance efficiency and strategic decision-making.
Who you are
You are a visionary leader and a catalyst for change, possessing the strategic mindset required to influence complex, global environments.
You hold an advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent experience) with a specialized background in Infection & Immunity and Tuberculosis in particular
You bring strong and proven experience within the academic, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
You have a proven track record of leading and strategic decision-making within a matrixed organization.
You are an effective communicator capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels to drive medical excellence.
Prior experience working in a laboratory environment and/or molecular assay development is preferred.
