AbbVie is currently seeking a proactive, high performing, National Sales Manager to manage our Dermatology sales team across Australia. As a leader, you are responsible for developing and executing national sales strategies that drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and long-term business success. As a leader, you will providing leadership, direction and resources to the National Sales Team whilst fostering a culture of accountability, continuous development, and winning performance.
NOTE: Travel requirement for this position up to 80% to be spent in field for this role.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspire and direct the activities of the national sales group for the achievement of short and long term business objectives, increased sales and market share.
- Translating marketing strategies into day-to-day working sales and promotional strategy and driving the implementation of this through Sales Representatives.
- Efficiently balance the needs of the entire dermatology portfolio with the immediate needs of the business
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, e.g. Peer NSM, Marketing, Medical, X-functional team to plan in-field alignment activities.
- Work with Business Unit Manager to set and achieve in-field targets including sales, call rate and plan of action.
- Implement and coach sales team in the understanding and adoption of the “Challenger” model and effectively coach to strengthen IFT capabilities, including ‘analyse & optimise’
- Create a culture of trust, whilst challenging the status quo and driving for results.
- Proactive and ongoing targeting of key customers to reach brand team and sales team goals.
- Develop and manage the expense budget within plan by allocating monies appropriately and regularly monitoring performance.
- People Management responsibilities e.g. recruitment, retention, development plans, succession planning, training etc.
- Actively seek, identify, analyse, and present new business opportunities and improvement ideas to senior management on an ongoing basis.
- Effectively manage agreed projects to deliver high-quality work product in a timely fashion (meets deadlines).
- To identify and achieve growth opportunities through business development of new and existing accounts
- Report any adverse event within 24 hours as per AbbVie’s policies and procedures.
- Proactively participate in AbbVie’s WHS programs, adhere to policies and promote a safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to AbbVie’s codes of conduct and compliance processes, including timely training and maintaining ethics and integrity.
- Other ad hoc duties such as administrative duties, as requested.
