Role Summary   

The Senior Cost Analyst will play a critical role at the PGS Dalian site, supporting all aspects of cost accounting, budget & forecast, financial analysis, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager. This position requires strong analytical skills, communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibility scope

Cost Accounting & Analysis:

Work closely with finance manager to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation.

Analyze and report on cost variances, drivers, and trends to support business decision-making.

Financial Planning & Reporting:

Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports related to site costs.

Support the Finance Manager in preparing and communicating financial results to site leadership and regional teams.

Communication with local government and authorities on any finance issue, statistical requirements and reporting.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to internal control standards and accounting principles in all cost accounting activities.

Support Both internal & external audit activities and compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Others

Serve as a financial partner to cross-functional teams on finance related matters.

Support the culture of continuous improvement across finance and operational teams.

Job requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or related roles in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
• Proficient in English communication skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Proficiency in SAP
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in cost accounting within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Apps, Python, and similar software skills is an advantage
• Innovative thinking, along with experience in process improvement and project management.
