PRIMARY FUNCTION/OBJECTIVE:
The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, India will create and implement a strategic and proactive talent acquisition strategy with full executive buy-in and participation to ensure that AbbVie recruits the strongest talent.
The successful candidate will operate across affiliate, planning and delivering on the TA strategy whilst driving day to day full-cycle
end-to-end recruitment from intake of requirement definition through offer preparation, negotiation and administration of the hiring process. This candidate will also lead and manage a team of Senior Specialists, Talent Acquisition.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Set vision, strategy and goals for all aspects of talent acquisition across AbbVie India
- Lead and grow a talent acquisition team while improving capability and delivering on hiring needs across the region. Lead, mentor and develop the talent acquisition professionals. Build area recruiting capabilities, provide staff developmental opportunities and succession planning
- Compile and communicate the knowledge base, industry overviews, market trends, and company initiatives to team members and business leaders. Develop and implement comprehensive Human Capital Response Plans to meet business objectives.
- Lead effective recruiting process, practices and standards providing high quality experience for candidates and hiring managers. Recruitment focus is on leadership positions in India. Responsible for attracting top talent and developing a strong qualified candidate pool.
- Oversee pre-employment process (background check, references, etc.), as well as the preparation and approval of offer package, providing equity & market competitiveness data research.
- Ensure compliance to state/federal employment laws and AbbVie policies and practices for applicant tracking compliance and reporting metrics.
- Provide a true business partnership with hiring managers and leadership on all staffing related issues. Build solid relationships with key partners across the organization that yield consistent process and impactful results. Use data and market intelligence to provide consultative guidance.
- Regularly assess future talent needs and partner with business and finance to ensure appropriate budgeting is in place to support recruiting demand.
- Additional job functions would include, pre-screening candidates, project management in various functional areas at any given time, partnering with global team members to develop a sourcing strategies and qualifying talent for open positions.
- Additional responsibilities include managing requisitions, updating the SmartRecruiters applicant tracking system, achieving recruiting metrics and reporting key accomplishments.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues in the hiring process workflow and strive for continuous improvement.
- Vendor management, i.e. manage service level agreements with external parties including but not limited to recruitment agencies’ Master Service Agreements/Preferred Supplier List (PSL), in consultation with Purchasing and Legal.
- Review Company and Employer Branding activities in India in alignment with BHR and regional and global EVP to ensure awareness and market interest in joining AbbVie.
- Manage the company’s Employee Referral Program in collaboration with Business HR
- Drive local early careers initiatives including campus engagement and internship hiring
- Lead local TA projects as required.
