Job Description

Job Purpose

The Snr. Demand Planner provides specialized services related to statistical forecasts to the Demand Forecasting teams. The Snr. Demand Planner is responsible for overseeing the generation of statistical forecasts produced through advanced forecasting models within the planning system

This role will support providing analytics related to Baseline KPI performance and problem solving for top offenders to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Demand Forecasting Managers (DFMs) to assign, validate, and optimize forecasting models within the planning system.

  • Ensure timely completion of AI forecasts in line with the global planning calendar.

  • Monitor appropriate AI forecast output and current forecasting models to maximize accuracy, consistency, and stability.

  • Review and validate master data with Demand Planners to maintain accurate forecastability for all SKUs and markets.

  • Monitor baseline forecast KPIs and variance reports to identify performance gaps and define corrective actions.

  • Lead monthly baseline and exception review meetings with DFMs to review AI forecast outputs and incorporate feedback.

  • Collaborate with Demand Planners to prepare and review baseline templates, highlighting anomalies and key deviations.

  • Mentor and coach Demand Planners to build analytical, technical, and forecasting capabilities with Demand Forecasting Manager CoE.

  • Drive issue resolution by identifying and escalating technical or process challenges in a timely manner.

  • Partner with Analytics team to enhance forecasting tools, dashboards, and reporting efficiency.

  • Support alignment of AI and commercial forecasts to ensure a balanced and data-driven consensus forecast.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen forecast quality, efficiency, and process discipline.


Education, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, industrial engineering, statistics, finance or a related field. Master’s degree in Business will be preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain or related analytics role.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or consumer goods sectors.

  • Knowledge of sales and commercial processes, and product lifecycle management.

  • Experience with demand planning systems such as SAP APO, IBP, OMP or similar.

  • Advanced Excel, Power BI or other data visualisation and analytics skills.

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with proven ability to interpret data and trends.

  • Familiarity with statistical forecasting methods and time series analysis.

  • Good stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience coaching or leading junior planners and running forecast review forums.
