Job Description

You will manage supply planning activities for the Canada location on a fixed-term secondment. You will work with local and global teams to ensure supply plans meet the forecast requirements and minimize shortages and impact to patients. -Lead end-to-end supply planning for 200+ finished goods items.
- Act as the single point of contact for local supply issues, escalating risks and coordinating resolution with global hubs, logistics and commercial teams.
- Manage inventory levels and provide recommendations to meet service targets while optimising working capital.
- Investigate supply variances, run root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate master data and reporting

Responsibilities
- Participate in monthly forecast cycle and act as key interface between Global Supply Chain and the Canada Commercial organization by:

  • Actively participating in the consensus forecasting process, by engaging in the monthly demand review team meetings, agreeing the demand and challenging abnormal demand.
  • Understanding the key assumptions of the forecast and the likely upsides or downsides to the consensus forecast. Effectively communicating these upsides and downsides to the supply sites as well as understanding the implications to the sites and the related supply.
  • Participate in the monthly CCC process by identifying supply and demand issues for monthly review
  • Manage the Canada finished goods inventory to Working Capital targets utilizing SAP APO/OMP including agreeing planning parameters with the site supply managers taking into account supplier reliability, lead time, forecast variability, cost, etc. Apply system competencies (SAP, APO/OMP) to proactively formulate proposals to drive business decisions including management of inventory working capital, proactive identification of supply chain risk issues and the subsequent development and implementation of appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Effectively communicate to Canada Commercial the impact of supply disruptions and provide re-supply plans to Canada Marketing, Pricing, Finance.   Develop and investigate alternative supply plans with the sites and the market and providing manufacturing priorities to the sites.
  • Lead (as required)  in  monthly demand/supply reviews (as required) to facilitate market updates (forecast changes and assumptions, including current competitive market intelligence) and supply updates (site constraints, issues).
  • Escalate supply issues to the appropriate levels within Canada Commercial and GSC via the Supply Chain Issues Management and Canada Supply Chain Planning processes. In conjunction with Canada Commercial and Finance manage the supply and inventory of promotional samples.
  • Monitoring of inbound shipments including tracking due and past-due shipments, progress through customs clearance and prioritizing quality releases etc, to mitigate any potential shortages
  • Represent GSC in supporting the Canada Commercial ambition in teams such as New Product Launch teams.
  • Assist as required, in management of the distribution and inventory planning replenishment and orders to all depots and CPDN locations to agreed upon inventory levels, recommend replenishment stock as required.
  • Strong understanding of SAP, APO/OMP and Supply Chain Planning processes.
  • Strong understanding of end to end supply chain planning and impact to market
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to simplify processes and improve supply reliability.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across functions and with external partners.

Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
- University degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 7 years of hands-on demand and supply planning experience in consumer goods, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
- Practical experience with ERP systems and planning tools (experience with SAP is an advantage).

-Strong knowledge of SAP, APO, OMP or similar system

-Strong analytical and modeling skills.

-Sound knowledge of the Canada Pharma product portfolio.

-Strong understanding of end to end supply chain and impact to market.

- Strong Excel skills and experience preparing and analysing data-driven reports.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English; French considered an asset for some roles.

Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- APICS, PMP or other supply chain certifications.
- Experience with working with multi-functional teams, including particularly Sales, Marketing and Finance.
- Experience with advanced planning tools (S&OP, SAP, APO/SNP, OMP or similar).
- Experience working with global planning hubs or across multiple markets.
- Proven track record in continuous improvement or Lean projects.
- Familiarity with GMP requirements or experience working in a regulated environment.

Working arrangement
This secondment is a Canada-based role. The role is hybrid with an expectation to be on-site regularly at the local office in Canada. Exact on-site/hybrid pattern will be agreed with your manager.

In compliance with Ontario's provincial pay transparency legislation, this job posting includes a salary range to support equitable and informed hiring practices. The annual compensation for this role is CAD100,000 to CAD150,000 , determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
