We're looking for a Technology Lead to scale Predict's engineering and data science functions as we enter our next phase of growth. This is a player-coach role where you'll architect and build AI-powered engagement systems while developing a high-performing team of backend engineers, data scientists, and AI engineers. You'll be a central thought partner to the GM, Head of Product, and Growth Marketing Lead —translating complex ML systems into accessible, scalable solutions that drive member engagement and business growth.

You'll directly manage a team of backend engineers, data engineers, data scientists and AI/ML engineers.

This is a pivotal moment for Predict. You'll be building the technical foundation that enables us to scale from thousands to tens of thousands of members while maintaining personalized, intelligent engagement. You'll have the autonomy to shape our technical strategy, the resources to build a world-class team, and the opportunity to apply cutting-edge AI to meaningfully improve healthcare outcomes.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Design and build the autonomous system that takes "high risk" signals and triggers coordinated Email, SMS, and Voice outreach at scale.
  • Build the backend systems that power our AI concierge—enabling agents to intelligently reach out, engage, and guide members through their care journey.
  • Oversee data ingestion and tagging pipelines that process healthcare claims data for ML models.
  • Improve our ML models using latest technologies and techniques to increase the relevance of our targeting and outreach.
  • You'll lead the development of our agentic AI systems, including: Outbound AI Voice Agents (and Set up payloads and integrations); Multi-channel agents with sophisticated backend orchestration and API composition.
  • Build tools and dashboards to monitor, evaluate, and improve agent performance.
  • Implement metrics for AI agent success and identify failure modes.
  • Evaluate foundation models and understand tradeoffs for specific use cases.
  • Manage LLM token budgets, latency, and performance through smart routing and caching.

  • What you need to have:
  • Production ML Experience: 5+ years developing and deploying machine learning algorithms in production environments.
  • AI Agent Development: End-to-end experience building AI agents, including prompt engineering, model evaluation, and agentic workflows.
  • Backend Engineering: Strong backend architecture skills — you can design scalable systems, not just train models.
  • Engineering Management: 2+ years managing diverse technical teams (3-10 people), with a track record of developing and elevating engineers.
  • High-Growth Experience: You've worked in fast-paced, high-growth environments where you've had to balance speed and quality.
  • Technical Leadership: Comfortable being in the code while also setting technical direction and strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work with business leaders, product teams, and growth teams to make technology accessible and understandable.
