The Supervisor, Warehouse and Logistics oversees all aspects of the company’s warehousing and logistics operations, across multiple warehouse locations in support of a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for leading the warehouse team to ensure regulatory compliance, efficient product storage, retrieval, and distribution while maximizing productivity, accuracy, safety and customer service. This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans that will drive operational excellence, improve performance and optimize complex logistics across multiple warehouse locations.
Responsibilities Ensure execution on comprehensive warehouse and logistics operations plans, set performance goals, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like inventory accuracy, receiving and shipping schedules, and labor productivity, and make data-driven adjustments to optimize efficiency. Lead and manage a team of warehouse and logistics staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality work and continuous improvement. Oversee inventory management processes, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping across multiple facilities to maintain accurate inventory levels, minimize discrepancies and support operational activities. Identify opportunities for process optimization within the warehouse, implement new technologies and systems to streamline operations, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze operational costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement cost-saving measures within the warehouse. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, warehouse compliance standards, and quality control procedures. Collaborate with other departments like Quality, Operations, Laboratories, Finance and Project Management. Manage warehouse space utilization, equipment maintenance, and facility layout to optimize workflow and productivity between multiple facilities. Support the implementation of new warehouse systems, processes, or technology upgrades, ensuring a smooth transition and employee adoption Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. Associate or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field highly preferred. 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, and warehouse management. Experience managing, coaching and training team members. Warehouse management and distribution experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred. Deep understanding of warehouse and logistics management practices, inventory control systems, and logistics principles in a pharmaceutical GMP environment. Proven track record of building, motivating, and developing a high-performing team of warehousing and logistics professionals, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities. Experience negotiating and managing contracts with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and suppliers to ensure optimal service levels and cost competitiveness. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and use insights to inform decision-making. Excellent ability to troubleshoot operational issues and develop effective solutions. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with various levels of staff, cross-functional teams, and management. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), data analysis tools, and other relevant software. Experience with WMS implementation is a plus. At August Bioservices, Our Credo is our culture.
