Job Description

Objectives

To serve as a strategic business partner and integral, active member of the brand team, providing cost-effective product and therapy area data, market research, and insights that directly inform and drive decision making. This role is embedded within the brand team, working collaboratively to understand key opportunity areas and challenges, and delivering solutions that advance brand objectives (such as customer perceptions, optimal pricing, and the impact of promotional activities).

As a trusted partner, this position brings an independent perspective to challenge and support brand team strategy, ensuring recommendations are based on robust analysis of objective market data and research.

The role is personally accountable for sourcing, managing, and analysing data, conducting strategic and operational research, and generating actionable insights in close partnership with brand teams.

Market research and analytics are conducted to fill critical knowledge gaps not addressed by standard data sources. Through active collaboration, this role enhances the quality and impact of data and insights, while maximizing budget value and supporting informed, effective brand decisions.

Key responsibilities

Strategic Business Partner for the Brand Team

  • Act as a key partner to brand team leadership, proactively shaping commercial strategy through data, research, and insight.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify knowledge gaps, prioritize research needs, and design solutions that deliver business impact.
  • Champion a culture of evidence-based decision making and challenge conventional thinking, supporting the brand team to achieve superior results.

Market Research Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of high-impact market research programmes, including issue identification, research design, execution, analysis, and actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure all research is strategically aligned and delivers clear, implementable outcomes for the brand.
  • Build strong supplier relationships, negotiating for best-in-class data, services, and value.

Market Understanding

  • Provide informed analysis on brand, product, therapy area, customer, and competitor performance, identifying trends and opportunities.
  • Extract, collate, analyse, interpret, and forecast data for existing and potential new products.
  • Support the development and maintenance of models and dashboards in collaboration with business intelligence and brand team members.
  • Translate complex market data into clear, practical recommendations that guide brand strategy and execution.

Insight Generation

  • Organize and manage insight generation initiatives to address knowledge gaps and inform key brand decisions.
  • Develop, facilitate, and deliver brand team insight gathering plans, ensuring actionable outputs that challenge and drive strategy.
  • Enable continuous improvement of the patient journey through robust research and sharing insights across the brand team.
  • Maintain and facilitate access to critical therapy area and brand knowledge resources.
