The Role
We are looking for a user-obsessed Senior Platform Engineer with a proven track record of designing and building internal tools and applications on modern data platforms. You will translate complex data challenges into powerful, user-friendly interfaces, acting as a true solution-builder. This role demands end-to-end ownership - from React frontend design to robust Python/TypeScript backend services, all within a modern, serverless AWS architecture managed with Terraform and GitLab CI.
Our engineering team supports a team of 60+ all-star analytics consultants and data scientists who are solving complex challenges in global healthcare. In this role, you will be the bridge between complex data and the people who need it. You will take our successful pilots and turn them into production-grade applications. You will be architecting tools that help the life sciences industry get medicine to patients faster.
What You'll DoDrive User-Centered Design: Engage directly with our internal consultants to gather requirements, understand their workflows, and build intuitive, user-centric tools that enhance their productivity and solve their complex problemsBuild End-to-End Solutions: Architect, develop, and maintain full-stack applications, writing clean frontend code with React and building robust backend services and APIs with Python or TypeScriptEmbrace Serverless & Containers: Design, deploy, and operate services using AWS Lambda for event-driven logic and AWS ECS with Fargate for containerized applicationsOwn Your Infrastructure with Terraform: Provision, configure, and manage your applications AWS infrastructure exclusively with Terraform, ensuring your environments are automated, reproducible, and scalableAutomate with GitLab CI: Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI to test and deploy your serverless and container-based applications safely and efficientlyEnsure Operational Health: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security across the stackRequirementsExperience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in a full-stack or frontend-heavy engineering roleUser-Centric Mindset: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.
