Job Description

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections,  where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

The Position

Based in our Sant Cugat hub, you will join the Global Customer Support Knowledge & Learning Excellence (KLE) organization. As Content Creation and Management Sub-chapter, we create content that enables customers and Roche service personnel to use, install, and maintain diagnostic instruments and software.

As a Technical Writer Intern, you will join a team evolving from traditional document-based publishing toward a content-first approach, focusing on modular reusable content and moving away from static outputs. You will work with a new content management system (CMS) to migrate and deliver high-quality information through a global content delivery platform. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a regulated, high-tech healthcare environment.

What You Will Do

  • Play a key role in transitioning our knowledge base to a new CMS, helping us move from "documents" to "intelligent, reusable content".

  • Learn to author in XML, treating content as data. You will explore how this modular approach allows for reuse across different deliverables and platforms.

  • Explore the use of AI applied to the content creation process.

  • Learn to plan, develop, and organize technical documentation according to global corporate style guides and standards.

  • Collaborate with content managers, project teams, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather complex information.

  • Learn how to meet quality targets and timelines, while ensuring regulatory requirements are respected.

  • Assist in creating and modifying multimedia content (photographs, screenshots, diagrams) using modern software tools.

  • When ready, draft and update customer-facing and service content (User Guides, Installation Guides, Data Specifications, etc.) in English for Roche software and instruments.

  • Contribute your fresh perspective to discussions aimed at the continuous improvement of our tools and processes.

What You Bring

  • A strong interest in technical writing, instructional design, or knowledge management.

  • Excellent spoken and written command of English (C1/C2 level or native equivalent) as this is our primary working language.

  • Familiarity with or curiosity about documentation tools and standards (e.g., XML/DITA, IXIASoft, Oxygen, or Figma) and multimedia tools.

  • Enthusiasm for working collaboratively in an international, multicultural environment.

  • Ability to join for a full-time internship (12 months)
