Are you passionate about improving global health care? Do you want to contribute to improving patients' quality of life through your expertise? In a challenging work environment that offers opportunities of developing and increasing your own skills? Youve come to the right place!
Together, we break through – with our Accounting & Finance Development Program (all genders)
The Accounting & Finance Development Program (AFDP) consists of four rotations over a two-year period and is specifically designed to prepare you for future responsibilities and development opportunities in Finance. During the program, you will work on a wide range of projects, further develop your professional and personal skills, gain insights into different Finance functions and engage with leaders across the company. This will allow you to build a comprehensive understanding of AbbVie’s Finance organisation and lay the foundation for a successful career in Finance.
Over the course of two years, you will have the opportunity to work in four different areas for six months each. In the first year, you will support both Operations Controlling in Ludwigshafen and Commercial Affiliate FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) in Wiesbaden. In the second year, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in additional Finance functions across Europe, including a planned rotation at our Finance Shared Service Centre in Krakow, Poland. Depending on business needs, the fourth rotation may take place in areas such as Commercial Finance, Treasury, Regional Headquarters or Area Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis.
In addition, you will work in a cross-functional matrix organisation, further develop your business acumen and take part in key training and development activities. Each FDP trainee will also be assigned an experienced mentor who will provide coaching and act as a sounding board throughout the program.
During the two-year program, you will also participate in various international meetings, either virtually or in person across Europe, such as European Finance Director Meetings, FDP Alumni Meetings, Steering Committees and networking events with leaders from Europe and the United States.
At the end of the program, you will spend two weeks at AbbVie’s headquarters in the greater Chicago area to gain additional insights into global Finance functions and further expand your international network.
Potential Rotations and Areas of Assignment
Assignments are determined based on business needs and may be subject to change. The position is fixed-term for a maximum of two years, with the aim of transitioning into a role at a European location upon completion of the program.
