What You Will Do

In this vital role, the Associate, Incentive Compensation Administration will provide hands-on operational and data support for the accurate and timely administration of field incentive compensation (IC) plans. The role will execute recurring IC activities including data intake and validation, eligibility and crediting support, calculation review, payment-file preparation, reconciliations, reporting, and maintenance of participant and territory information in accordance with approved plan rules and established processes.

The Associate will work with multiple data sources to validate and reconcile IC-related information, perform quality-control checks, prepare recurring IC reports and scorecards, and support resolution of field inquiries related to eligibility, crediting, attainment, calculations, and payments. The role will maintain accurate documentation, business rules, QC checklists, and administrative records while ensuring appropriate confidentiality, data integrity, process compliance, and audit readiness.

This position works within the Incentive Compensation Administration team in Field Excellence and collaborates with onshore business stakeholders and cross-functional teams across Incentive Compensation, Field Effectiveness, data management, Finance, HR, Payroll, IT, and external partners. The role will also support plan updates, territory changes, product launches, system enhancements, testing, automation opportunities, and other IC initiatives while contributing to continuous improvement of IC administration processes.

Responsibilities

IC Administration and Data Operations

• Support accurate and timely administration of field incentive compensation (IC) plans in accordance with approved plan rules, established processes, and business timelines.
• Execute assigned recurring IC activities, including data intake, eligibility validation, crediting support, calculation review, payment-file preparation, and maintenance of participant and territory records.
• Extract, consolidate, validate, and reconcile IC-related data from multiple sources, including sales performance, customer data, territory alignments, call activity, and employee data.
• Perform routine data-quality checks to identify missing, duplicate, inaccurate, or inconsistent records before calculations and payments are finalized.
• Prepare standard weekly/monthly/quarterly IC reports like goal reports, IVR, eligibility reports, attainment reports, master tables, payout summaries, payroll reports, and scorecards.

Field Support, Documentation, and Compliance

• Support field inquiries, disputes, and escalations related to eligibility, crediting, goal attainment, plan calculations, and payments; provide timely and data-backed responses.
• Maintain accurate documentation of plan rules, administrative procedures, calculation logic, exceptions, approvals, and payout records.
• Handle compensation data with confidentiality, accuracy, integrity, and appropriate attention to detail.
• Support compliance with internal controls, legal guidance, privacy requirements, and applicable industry regulations.
• Demonstrate disciplined process ownership by consistently adhering to approved SOPs and documentation standards; proactively maintain and update quality-control checklists before each delivery; and ensure business-rule documents remain accurate, current, and aligned with approved plan requirements and process changes.

Stakeholder and Process Support

• Collaborate with Sales Operations, Field Excellence, Finance, HR, IT, Payroll, and external vendors to resolve routine data and process issues.
• Support implementation activities for plan updates, territory changes, product launches, and other assigned IC initiatives.
• Assist with testing of reports, system enhancements, automation opportunities, and IC platform updates.
• Contribute to SOPs, FAQs, training materials, and field communication resources.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of experience in incentive compensation administration, sales operations, compensation operations, finance operations, analytics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in bio/pharmaceutical, healthcare, consulting, or commercial operations.
• Exposure to field incentive compensation processes, including eligibility, crediting, calculation validation, payment processing, reporting, or inquiry resolution.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel and comfort working with large datasets.
• Ability to interpret documented business rules and apply them to data validation and administrative processes.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with, or interest in learning, industry-leading incentive compensation administration platforms.
• Good to have IC health checks, plan modeling and design, contest design, goal setting experience.
