The Director, CPSO Tier/STEM & APAC/Intercon Regional S&OP Lead is responsible for the coordination, process improvement, and execution of two core Supply Chain planning processes — Tier/STEM issue management and Regional S&OP — across the GPS organization for the BioPharma portfolio. The role also leads the annual Supply Chain Segmentation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tier/STEM Orchestration: Proactively identifies supply issues that impact patients and/or key business drivers. Aligns content and escalation level with GSC/GPS Leaders, then manages the communication and publication of issue management to Senior Leaders on a regular basis. Ensures supply sites maintain feasible mitigation plans with timely and consistent updates.
  • APAC & Intercon Regional S&OP: Leads the execution of APAC and Intercon Regional S&OP meetings, documenting supply chain gaps, resolutions, and recommendations for Executive review. Coordinates the Market S&OP process within the CPSO team to drive supply chain and commercial strategies and decisions at the Market, Regional, and Enterprise levels.
  • Supply Chain Segmentation: Leads the annual Supply Chain Segmentation process, including regional and global assessments, maintenance of exception rules, and management of the off-cycle process. Drives alignment on final Segmentation recommendations with CPSO Leadership and ensures cross-functional endorsement from GSC and Commercial partners.

Tier/STEM Orchestration

  • Triages and consolidates supply issues across Global Supply Chain and Global Business Units, ensuring appropriate priorities are assigned and processes are followed to drive rapid resolution.
  • Ensures supply issues and resolutions are communicated and escalated to the appropriate forums in accordance with defined escalation pathways, enabling proactive risk management.
  • Provides regular issue status reports to senior GPS and commercial leaders, highlighting progress toward resolution and risks associated with issues that are disrupting — or have the potential to disrupt — product supply.
  • Directs teams to conduct thorough root cause analyses and puts mitigation steps in place to prevent recurrence.
  • Leads regular supply issue reviews to track progress and hold teams accountable for timely resolution. Conducts periodic analysis of recurring issue themes to identify systemic ways-of-working gaps and drive sustainable improvements.
  • Ensures robustness in system-identified supply risks (backorder, anticipated backorder, low stock) with clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and review cadence.
  • Participates in cross-functional supply and demand forums to monitor and respond to potential supply disruptions.
  • Continuously evolves the issue management process to strengthen cross-functional connectivity, improve accountability, and build mechanisms that drive resolution at the appropriate organizational level.

APAC & Intercon Regional S&OP

  • Establishes and maintains a seamless, systematic cadence and flow of information between Market S&OP and Regional S&OP meetings.
  • Executes Regional S&OP meetings, including generation of reports and metrics, documentation of supply chain gaps and resolutions, and preparation of recommendations and agendas for Executive meetings.
  • Coordinates all meeting logistics, including scheduling, agenda definition, material preparation, meeting minutes, and action item follow-up. Ensures supply chain constraints are communicated clearly and early to inform appropriate allocation decisions.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of global supply and demand dynamics, proactively communicating risks when changes in one market may impact others.
  • Partners with Demand & Supply Planning to drive plan quality, promote S&OP best practices, and improve forecast accuracy and related metrics.
  • Participates in Demand Consensus Meetings, directly or via recording, to maintain visibility into demand signals.
  • Ensures supply issues and resolutions are cascaded through appropriate forums in line with defined escalation pathways.
  • Contributes to strategic portfolio segmentation decisions, leveraging knowledge of historical supply chain gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Attends Regional Finance and Budget Reviews to ensure team adherence to budget plans.
  • Identifies gaps in the existing S&OP process and develops continuous improvement plans aligned with business priorities.
  • Trains and coaches stakeholders on S&OP roles, responsibilities, and expectations to ensure process alignment and effectiveness.
  • Collaborates with the CPSO Regional Heads to maintain alignment on business priorities, performance, and challenges related to Regional and Executive S&OP.
  • Leads the deployment and training of advanced S&OP reporting tools, with a focus on integrating the S&OP module within the Rapid Response framework and comparable systems.
  • Serves as backup for the Executive S&OP Execution Lead.

Supply Chain Segmentation

  • Partners with CPSO and BI&T to align on process and tool assumptions, ensuring annual and off-cycle segmentation processes are executed effectively.
  • Works with CPSO Regional Leads to collect inputs, review exceptions, and drive final alignment and endorsement of segmentation outcomes.
  • Maintains accuracy and integrity of the Segmentation tool.
  • Conducts refresher training for stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BS/BA in Technical Field with advanced technical degree and/or equivalent experiences desirable. Masters/MBA Desired.
  • +15 years of experience leading End-to-End supply chain planning processes (i.e., demand/forecasting, supply/inventory planning, S&OP rollout/management) in a global /companywide leadership scale of S&OP/IBP execution and implementation.
  • Experience in leading and building a high performing team, creating a culture of empowerment, innovation, inclusion and growth.
