This is not a role for someone looking to execute a pre-written playbook. The Director of Marketing will be a key architect of how RayzeBio shows up commercially—shaping the brand, influencing strategy, and leading the marketing organization in bringing RYZ101 to market in a way that sets a new standard for radiopharmaceutical launches. This is not a role for someone looking to execute a pre-written playbook.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this leader will serve as a true strategic partner—helping define the commercial vision while taking ownership of how that vision comes to life across every channel, customer segment, and market-shaping initiative. If you want to help shape a category, build something from the ground up, and leave a mark on how a transformative therapy reaches patients, this is your role.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Brand Strategy

  • Co-architect the RYZ101 brand—contributing to positioning, messaging, segmentation, and competitive differentiation alongside the Head of Marketing.

  • Translate customer, market, and clinical insights into strategic choices that sharpen the brand's edge and accelerate adoption.

  • Lead market-shaping initiatives—disease awareness, ecosystem development, and thought leader strategy—that define the category before and after launch.

  • Contribute to pipeline readiness, helping establish a launch excellence framework that scales across RayzeBio's future assets.

Lead Commercial Launch

  • Own the commercial launch plan for RYZ101, integrating cross-functional priorities, customer engagement strategies, and channel execution into a coherent go-to-market motion.

  • Build an integrated omnichannel approach spanning digital, CRM, field enablement, health-system engagement, and patient-facing initiatives.

  • Partner with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Patient Services, and Commercial Operations to ensure the full launch ecosystem is aligned and ready.

  • Champion AI-enabled marketing capabilities—predictive analytics, next-best-action thinking, modular content, and rapid experimentation—to launch faster and smarter.

Shape the Commercial Organization

  • Help build the RayzeBio marketing function, establishing ways of working, performance standards, and a culture of insight-driven decision-making.

  • Serve as a senior voice in cross-functional governance, ensuring Marketing's perspective is integrated into business-critical decisions.

  • Represent the customer in every strategic discussion—grounding commercial planning in real-world patient journeys, site-of-care realities, and healthcare system dynamics.

  • Manage agency and vendor relationships with a focus on quality, speed, and strategic value.

  • Leverage AI to drive program, portfolio, or functional performance through prioritization and scaled adoption.

Own Outcomes

  • Define and track the launch scorecard—setting ambitious KPIs, surfacing insights early, and driving accountability to keep the organization on pace.

  • Manage the marketing budget with a strategic lens, prioritizing investments that generate the greatest commercial impact.

  • Ensure continuity and momentum from NDA filing through post-approval growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, or related field) is a plus.

  • 8–10+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology marketing experience, with significant oncology exposure and at least one full product launch cycle. Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy (RPT) is preferred.

  • Experience with first-to-market or complex modality launches (radiopharmaceuticals, cell/gene therapy, or other infrastructure-dependent products) is a plus.

  • Proven success leading cross-functional launch planning and execution across pre- and post-launch phases.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in matrixed environments and operate effectively at the leadership level.

  • Knowledge of healthcare system dynamics, payer environments, and site-of-care considerations relevant to nuclear medicine and oncology.

  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.

  • Comfort with modern marketing analytics and AI-enabled approaches, applied responsibly with appropriate governance.

If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway. You could be one step away from work that will transform your life and career.
