Responsible for providing general accounting and administrative support to the finance department.

Reviews account analysis of all related balance sheet and income statement accounts. Examines and validates various financial transactions related to revenue. Monitors the audits, identification and correction of discrepancies and variances in various accounting reports. Prepares the balance sheet profit and loss statements and consolidated financial statements. Performs monthly closings within the department. Assesses and reports on improvements to accounting system processes, policies and procedures. Analyzes, researches and recommends solutions for complex accounting issues.

 

Responsibilities

The Revenue/Royalty Accounting Analyst is responsible for accurate end‑to‑end accounting of royalty expenses, contract interpretation support, month‑end close activities, reconciliations, and reporting. This role ensures royalties are calculated, accrued and paid in accordance with contractual terms and accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP), and supports internal and external audits.



Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Process and validate royalty calculations for license or development agreements, ensure calculations follow contract terms and approved rates.
  • Record and post royalty expense accruals and adjustments during month‑end close.
  • Maintain and update royalty master data and contract database.
  • Prepare journal entries in Blackline for royalty transactions, accruals, reversals and corrections; ensure timely and accurate posting in the ERP system.
  • Support preparation of monthly/quarterly royalty reporting for management, including variance analysis versus budget/forecast.
  • Assist with tax and withholding calculations related to cross‑border royalty payments.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Work with Legal and Commercial teams to clarify contract interpretation that affect accounting treatment.
  • Identify process improvements and implement controls to reduce errors and increase automation (e.g., templates, reconciliations, system enhancements).
  • Responsible for the accuracy of Royalty accounting entries and Reconciliations in accordance with GAAP, Compliance, Internal Audit and SOX requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields.
  • 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience with month‑end close processes and preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Technical knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
  • Experience with ERPs (SAP preferred).
  • Advanced English.
  • Experience in Shared Services environments.
