Job Description

Help us get ahead of disease together with our MSAT Process Science / Lab technician Internship, 2027:   
 

Education required: Students who are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree undergraduate program from an accredited college/university (e.g. 1-year intern from SIT preferred), preferably in sciences-related discipline with a focus in preferably biological/ biotechnological or biological manufacturing sciences/engineering. 

Other requirements:  E.g. must be enrolled at a SG university/educational institute for the duration of your studies / Credit-bearing internship is preferred (SG)  

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English  

Internship period: Between January 2027 to December 2027 (based on your school’s internship period)

What will you do? 
 

You will be responsible for managing the housekeeping of a laboratory, which includes the following activities:

  • Inventory management using the 5S tools, timely preparation of buffers/culture media required for process development studies, management of documents such as equipment logbooks & SOPs, management of equipment calibration etc. 

  • You may be involved in execution of process development studies e.g. execution of column packing, chromatography, filtration and microbial culturing in a bioreactor. 

  • You may also manage supporting requests from different sub- teams and hence will have the opportunity to be exposed to
    different projects within the duration of the internship. 

What will you learn? 

  • You will gain experience in efficient management of a laboratory using 5S concept  

  • You will also gain development in communication & other soft skills required in a collaborative environment.  

  • You will gain insights into the different functions of MSAT Process Science team.  

  • You will be exposed to scale down modelling of biological manufacturing process within a leading pharmaceutical company.  

  • You will learn the science of vaccine development.
