The Role
The Junior Statutory Reporting Accountant will be a key member of the EMEA finance team reporting to the EMEA Statutory Reporting Manager. Based in Hungary, our rapidly expanding global Finance organization supports the accounting, payroll, and daily operations for over 1,800 employees across 22 European countries.
In this role you will assist with the end-to-end statutory reporting cycle and local GAAP compliance for multiple European entities, helping bridge the gap between US GAAP, IFRS, and local requirements. This role requires a detail-oriented mindset to help resolve technical accounting queries and supports the coordination of year-end audits to ensure smooth regulatory compliance across borders.
What You'll Do
Support the end-to-end statutory reporting process for several European countries
Assist in comparing financial frameworks (US GAAP, IFRS, and Local GAAP) and help prepare technical adjustments
Help maintain statutory compliance workflows to support audit readiness
Assist during the audit process by helping compile documents and responding to initial technical inquiries from external auditors and tax authorities
Coordinate with internal teams (GL, Tax, Legal) and external partners to maintain data accuracy
Help track changes in European accounting standards and VAT legislation to support ongoing compliance
Requirements
1+ years of post-qualification experience with a strong focus on GL and financial accounting
Familiarity with the end-to-end statutory reporting cycle or financial statement preparation for European entities
Experience or familiarity with supporting financial and statutory audits
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage tasks effectively within a busy workload
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
