About the Role

At Johnson & Johnson MedTech, we are committed to transforming patient care through innovation and meaningful partnerships with healthcare professionals. As a Product Specialist, Trauma, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our Trauma portfolio by developing strong customer relationships, delivering clinical and product expertise, and supporting healthcare professionals in achieving the best possible outcomes for patients.

This field-based sales role combines commercial excellence with clinical support, including operating theatre case coverage. You will partner closely with surgeons, nurses, procurement teams, and hospital stakeholders while contributing to business growth across your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and business objectives.
• Develop and execute territory plans to drive sustainable growth, market share, and profitability.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts through proactive customer engagement.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, delivering compelling value-based proposals to customers.
• Support successful product launches and execute territory-specific commercialization plans.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

• Build trusted relationships with surgeons, operating theatre staff, hospital management, and procurement teams.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Develop clinical advocates and key opinion leaders within the Trauma segment.
• Foster collaborative partnerships between healthcare professionals and Johnson & Johnson MedTech.

Clinical & Product Support

• Provide operating theatre support during trauma procedures to ensure optimal product utilization.
• Deliver product training and education to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain deep knowledge of trauma procedures, product portfolios, market trends, and competitive activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer needs and deliver integrated solutions.

Business Operations & Compliance

• Maintain accurate customer records, account plans, and sales reports.
• Work closely with Marketing, Business Development, and other MedTech teams to maximize customer impact.
• Uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and compliance, including adherence to the Johnson & Johnson Credo and relevant company policies.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of sales experience with a proven track record of achieving results.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build credibility and influence across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Highly motivated, resilient, customer-focused, and results-oriented.
• Strong learning agility, adaptability, and attention to detail.

Preferred

• Experience in medical devices, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or related industries.
• Exposure to hospital environments and clinical settings.
• Valid Class 3 Driving License.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
