We are currently seeking a Production Scientist to join The Native Antigen Company Production Team at our Kidlington, Oxford location. This outstanding opportunity will allow you to be at the forefront of scientific innovation, contributing to groundbreaking research and development projects.

As a Production Scientist, you will primarily be based within our QC department, supporting a range of activities including incoming QC on PCR plates, DNA extractions from a variety of different sources and a variety of other ad hoc QC techniques such as cell assays and ELISAs. While your main focus will be within Quality Control, there may be opportunities and business needs that require you to support  other areas, including microbiology, cell culture, protein purification, genotyping mastermix production, PCR testing, product aliquoting, and quality control testing. You will also assist with inventory management, database maintenance, and the receipt of incoming shipments. Comprehensive training will be provided to support your development and broaden your laboratory skills and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming QC on PCR plates, including shortfall testing and plate measurement verification.
• DNA extractions
• PCR
• Cell assays
• ELISAs
• Report accurate results
• Support the following areas as required:
  • Microbiology 
  • Production of suspension and adherent cell culture
  • Generate and purify recombinant proteins using established laboratory processes.
  • Support scale-up activities for recombinant and native production.
• Prepare, aliquot, label and package products in accordance with approved procedures
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock control activities.
• Manage laboratory databases and ensure production and quality records are maintained.
• Receive, inspect and process incoming materials and shipments.
