Job Description Summary

The Senior Manager, Integration Specialist acts as a key strategist in Development Integrations projects translat-ing integration strategy into structured plans, deliverables and stakeholder-ready outputs. The incumbent stays on top of the integration planning & execution through analyzing progress and stakeholder behaviors to make necessary adjustments and advise corrective actions.

The role partners closely with Development Integration Leads and cross-functional workstreams to anticipate needs, surface risks and dependencies, and enable effective decision-making through disciplined planning, tracking and issue resolution.

Key responsibilities include applying fit-for-purpose project management rigor (e.g., plans, milestones, RAID, meeting cadence and documentation), coordinating governance forums and communications, and contributing to continuous improvement of DIO tools, templates and best practices based on lessons learned


 

Job Description

Major Accountabilities

  • Drive day-to-day governance and project management for assigned Development integration initiatives, translating integration strategy into integrated plans, milestones and actionable deliverables

  • Establish and maintain fit-for-purpose delivery discipline (scope, RACI, RAID, integrated plan, status reporting and decision/issue logs) leveraging the available tools (HUB, VISTA) tailored to the complexity and pace of the integration

  • Proactively surface cross-workstream risks, dependencies and trade-offs; coordinate mitigations, escalate where needed, and track actions through to closure to protect critical timelines and outcomes

  • Plan and coordinate governance forums (steering, workstream and checkpoint meetings), including agendas, pre-reads, minutes, decisions and action follow-up to enable timely, well-informed decision-making

  • Lead and drive the Third-party Integration workstream representing the business, on overall contract strategy in line Integration objectives

  • Collaborate and support the Line function Integration leads across Development in driving integration Objectives through robust governance

  • Develop clear, stakeholder-ready communications and materials (updates, dashboards, escalation briefs and executive summaries) on progress, risks, decisions and next steps, in alignment with Development Inte-gration Leads and the Central Integration Office.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of DIO ways of working by refining tools, templates, playbooks and onboarding materials; capture lessons learned and promote consistent application across deals.

  • Partner with cross-functional workstreams and enabling teams (e.g., IT, Legal, Procurement, Finance, Quality and R&D) to align ways of working, strengthen readiness, and support delivery of integration outcomes without direct authority.

  • Foster the spirit of one-integration community through knowledge exchange.

Minimum Requirement

  • 6+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a strong track record of delivering results in clinical or operational roles

  • Demonstrated expertise in operational excellence and project management within complex, matrixed environments

  • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity with high emotional intelligence and sound decision-making

  • Proven capability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams and leadership levels without direct authority

  • Solid understanding of the global drug development process and the broader pharmaceutical landscape across functions and stakeholders

  • Demonstrated global mindset with strong cultural awareness and ability to work effectively in diverse, international environments
