The Position

Are you passionate about using the power of communications to drive meaninful policy change? 

As part of the External Engagement Centre of Excellence within Group Communications, you will join a high-impact team dedicated to leveraging strategic communications tactics to drive meaningful policy change and reinforce Roche’s reputation as a leader in access. This isn't just a strategy role; we are looking for a hands-on builder who moves at the speed of the external world and can translate complex access and policy challenges into bold, persuasive campaigns.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Policy Communications, you will act as a trusted communications advisor and strategic thought partner to the Pharma Global Access Leadership team and Policy teams.

• Narrative & Content Development: Develop compelling public narratives and unified messaging to ensure Roche speaks with a consistent, powerful voice on critical policy topics. 

• Communications Strategy Development & Execution: Design and deliver end-to-end communication strategies across digital channels, thought leadership, and media engagement in support of Roche’s policy and access priorities 

• Global Presence: Drive Roche’s digital and physical presence at selected global policy and access events 

• Reputation Protection: Proactively monitor emerging issues, maintain communication preparedness to mitigate risks and manage issues across sensitive access and policy topics.

• Measuring Success: Establish clear KPIs to track and report the tangible results of external communication tactics
   

Who you are

You are a strategic thinker who isn't afraid to get your hands dirty in execution. You thrive in multicultural, matrixed environments and possess the business acumen to navigate complex healthcare topics with ease.

Your Experience & Skills:

• Education: Master’s degree from a leading university in a relevant field (e.g. Politics, History, Business, Communications)

• Track Record: 10+ years of experience in policy, public affairs, or communications, with a proven ability to execute integrated campaigns across multiple channels.

• Industry Savvy: Deep experience in the healthcare industry and a strong understanding of the fast-paced external environment impacting our industry

• Communication Mastery: Exceptional writing and presentation skills in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.

• Collaborative Influence: Strong networking skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across a global matrix organization. 

• Adaptability: The ability to prioritize a high workload in a changing environment, with a willingness to travel up to 20%
