Job Description

Job Purpose

As the Senior Specialist IT Support, you will report to the Manager IT Systems & Infrastructure and play a key role in delivering high-quality IT services across the region, combining hands-on technical expertise with responsibility for local IT operations.
You will also be working closely with the global IT team, you will support, maintain, and continuously improve our Microsoft 365, Azure, and end-user computing environments while ensuring that US operations remain aligned with MoonLake’s standards. In the early stages of our IT department’s growth, be prepared to wear multiple hats and assist with various IT-related tasks and challenges as needed.


Major Accountabilities
  • End-user Services and Support: Provide and oversee user support onsite and remotely, including troubleshooting, device support, collaboration tools, onboarding, offboarding, access control and user lifecycle management.
  • Microsoft 365, Azure and Endpoint Management: Administer and continuously improve the Microsoft 365 and Azure environment, including Intune, Autopilot, Defender, SharePoint, Teams and related endpoint, identity and collaboration services. 
  • Infrastructure and Local Site Readiness: Support the implementation, maintenance and performance of local infrastructure, networks, devices, meeting rooms, telephony and cloud-connected services required for US operations. 
  • Veeva & ERP Support (Nice to have): User and systems support for our Veeva and SAP products. Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure these systems align with operational needs and compliance standards
  • IT Support: Provide top-notch technical support to our employees both remote or onsite, troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth IT experience for all. Deliver training to enhance adoption and efficiency. Assist with onboarding and offboarding of users and devices, ensuring smooth transitions and access control.
  • Infrastructure Management: Assist in the management, implementation and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, including servers, networks and cloud-based systems.
  • Security and Compliance: You will have a very strong security mindset and will collaborate to implement and monitor with security measures to protect our sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration among teams by proposing new solutions and optimizing tools like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, etc.
  • Project Participation: Contribute with your expertise to IT projects aimed at enhancing our technology capabilities and efficiency. Document technical solutions and contribute to the IT knowledge base to support continuous improvement and team learning.
  • Adaptability: In the early stages of our IT department’s growth, be prepared to wear multiple hats and assist with various IT-related tasks and challenges as needed.

Your profile
Job Requirements

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent proven professional experience.
Experience:
  • Strong experience in IT operations, systems administration and end-user support, preferably in a global, regulated or fast-growing environment.
  • Experience supporting US-based teams or regional site operations is preferred.
  • Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, life sciences or another regulated industry is a plus.
Skills/knowledge/behavioural competencies:
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure services, including Entra ID / identity, Intune, Autopilot, Defender, SharePoint and Teams. 
  • Solid understanding of endpoint management, user lifecycle processes, device provisioning, access control, collaboration tools and IT support operations. 
  • Good understanding of IT security principles, MFA, conditional access, endpoint protection, vulnerability management and incident escalation. 
  • Familiarity with Veeva, SAP/ERP or similar business platforms is an advantage. 
  • Ability to document technical solutions, operational procedures and troubleshooting steps in a clear, audit-ready manner.
