The Position

The Opportunity


As the Team Lead for Design Control Excellence (DCE) in Sant Cugat, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we develop life-saving diagnostic solutions. You will build and inspire a team of Process Managers dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. This is an opportunity to lead a digital and cultural transformation, fostering a high-performance environment where agile mindsets drive better outcomes for patients.


Empower and Grow Talent: Coach and mentor a team of six Process Managers, focusing on their technical growth, strategic thinking, and long-term career journeys.
 

Champion Process Governance: Lead the optimization of critical system, software, and assay projects across Risk, Requirements, Configuration, Defect Management and Verification & Validation.
 
Drive Operational Excellence: Ensure all development documentation meets rigorous global regulatory standards (such as ISO 13485) while championing radical simplification.
 
Foster Global Collaboration: Act as a key bridge between Development, Quality, Regulatory, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless information flow and project success.
 
Model Agile Leadership: Serve as a catalyst for cultural change by encouraging experimentation, trust, and cross-functional collaboration within a matrixed organization.
 
Strategic Vision: Accelerate knowledge transfer and upskill your team to meet the evolving needs of a global diagnostics landscape.

 
Who You Are

You are a people-oriented leader who excels at navigating complex organizations through influence and collaboration. You are passionate about developing others and bring a strategic vision to technical process management.


To be successful in this role, you bring:

Strong Educational Foundation: An advanced university degree in Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, or Engineering.
 
Industry Expertise: At least five years of experience in Product Development or Process Management, ideally within the Diagnostics or Medical Device sector.
 
Leadership Track Record: Proven experience leading people in a line capacity with a focus on building networks and inspiring teams through change.
 
Analytical & Influencing Skills: A deep understanding of design control processes and the ability to resolve conflicts and align stakeholders across global locations.
 
Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills to partner with global teams; proficiency in Spanish or German is a valuable asset.
