The Opportunity

 

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Territory Manager to join our Surgical Vision Team on the Gold Coast. Looking after both public and private hospitals + specialist day surgeries, you will drive sales growth across a dedicated territory by partnering with ophthalmic surgeons, hospitals, and clinical stakeholders to deliver innovative cataract solutions. Combining strong commercial acumen with clinical expertise, you will support customers in achieving the best outcomes for their patients while building trusted relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering against sales objectives.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Driving sales growth and achieving territory targets by promoting Johnson & Johnson Vision’s cataract portfolio to hospitals, day surgeries, and ophthalmic specialists
  • Building trusted partnerships with surgeons and clinical stakeholders, providing education and support on cataract products and technologies to improve patient outcomes
  • Identifying new business opportunities, monitoring market trends and competitor activity, and implementing strategies to maximise territory performance
  • Collaborating with marketing, professional education, and clinical specialists to execute commercial initiatives, customer engagement activities, and educational events
  • Effectively managing customer accounts, CRM data, consignment inventory, and business resources to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business objectives

 

About You

 

  • Tertiary qualification within Business/Medical/Health Sciences or related fields, and minimum 3+ years medical device or hospital pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Keen interest in Ophthalmology; demonstrated track record of strong commercial achievements and the desire to grow business and market share
  • Commercial acumen, and a positive can-do attitude to achieving results
  • Excellent communication skills: and the ability to influence different stakeholders and build long-term relationships
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team with strong organisation skills
