Test Lead IRM Solution - RDT Information Security
The Test Lead IRM Solutions is responsible for leading the testing effort across the solution, managing the test repository, defining the overall testing strategy, and overseeing execution. This role requires an experienced professional capable of giving direction to the testing team, producing comprehensive documentation, and serving as the primary point of contact for testing-related inquiries. A key responsibility is defining and implementing innovative testing approaches, including leveraging Claude (or similar LLMs) and AI for test automation and efficiency gains.
The Opportunity:
Scope / (Content Leadership): Defines and enforces the overall testing strategy, standards, and frameworks for the solution. Manages the test repository, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards. Operates with a high degree of autonomy, setting the direction for testing activities and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
Accountability/Problem Solving: Responsible for the entire testing lifecycle, from strategy definition to execution and reporting. Identifies, defines, and implements new, innovative ways of testing, including playing with Claude and AI for automation. Accountable for the overall quality, timely execution, and accuracy of all testing activities. Serves as the primary expert to respond to questions related to testing and its documentation.
Stakeholder Management: Manages communication and expectation setting with project managers, solution architects, product owners, and development teams regarding testing progress, risks, and quality metrics. Leads the testing team, providing clear direction, guidance, and support. Ensures effective collaboration across all project members.
Impact/Strategy: Defines the testing strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with RDT Security Risk Advisory goals and broader IT objectives. Directly impacts the quality and reliability of the ServiceNow IRM solution through comprehensive and effective testing.
Complexity / (Product Size): Works across multiple solution levels and features, handling complex integration and end-to-end testing scenarios. Must demonstrate the ability to analyze and manage testing for diverse solution components and understand the impact of changes across the entire platform.
Business / Technical ability: Exhibits a strong understanding and application of test management tools, testing principles, concepts, and techniques. Possesses a deep understanding of the relevant business and technical domain, particularly ServiceNow and IRM.
Who you are:
Education / Experience
Significant experience in defining testing strategy, managing test repositories, and leading testing teams.
Proven experience in test execution, documentation production, and responding to testing-related queries.
Strong knowledge of Risk Management and IT Security is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
ServiceNow Expertise: In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow functionality, tables, fields, and workflow relationships, specifically for defining comprehensive test scenarios.
AI Proficiency: Experience or strong ability to define new ways of testing, including leveraging Claude (or similar LLMs) and AI for test automation, script generation, and efficiency in the testing process.
Agile Methodologies: Expert knowledge and practical experience with Agile/Scrum principles, including defining sprint testing goals, managing the test backlog, and ensuring successful sprint commitments.
Test Management Tools: Proficiency with professional test management tools for test case design, execution, and reporting.
Additional Qualifications
Demonstrated strong leadership and direction-giving skills for a testing team.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on defining efficient and comprehensive testing workflows.
Strong collaborative and communication skills, capable of managing expectations and providing clear updates to all stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with the ability to "think in workflows"—understanding how a task moves from "Draft" to "Closed" and defining test coverage for each stage.
Fluency in English.
