Our Formulation Development China (FDCN) team is part of Novonesis’ global R&D organization, focusing on formulation and product development for enzyme‑based solutions. Working in close collaboration with scientists and research associates, the team supports global and regional product development through hands‑on laboratory work, data generation, and problem solving.

The Role & Your Impact

As a Formulation Development Intern, you will support laboratory‑based research activities and gain hands‑on experience in an industrial R&D environment.
You will contribute to real formulation development projects by supporting experiments, generating reliable data, and learning how biological products are developed from lab to application. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build practical skills while working alongside experienced scientists and researchers.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor or Master program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Biotechnology, Materials Science, or a related field
• Basic understanding of laboratory work and experimental data recording
• Interest in formulation, product development, or applied research
• Basic IT skills (e.g. MS Office)
• Ability to read and write in English (fluent spoken English is a plus)
• Mandarin proficiency for local collaboration

Additional Skills & Interests We Value

• Previous laboratory, internship, or academic project experience
• Curiosity about industrial R&D and formulation technologies
• Willingness to learn new methods, tools, and laboratory techniques
• Interest in sustainability and biological solutions
