The Novonesis site in Pohlheim today serves as the primary production facility for starter cultures used in the meat industry, e.g., in salami production. Although cultures for the meat industry represent the most significant market, the site also serves several other value chains and market areas.

These include, for example, protective cultures for convenience food, yeasts for fermented beverages and bacteria for silage production. The site also houses the QC hub for Meat and Animal Health in Europe, as well as the global application center for biosolutions in the field of meat and prepared foods. Around 130 employees work in the areas of operations, global supply chain, application center and support functions.

In this role you will make an impact by: 

• Reception of visitors and first point of contact for external companies

• General office assistance & organization of office processes

• Organization of meetings and events

• SAP – settle and post cash transactions, account invoices

• Support for plant management

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

• Completed commercial training or a comparable qualification

• Several years of professional experience in an assistant, office management, or comparable administrative role

• Ideally, experience in a production or industrial environment

• Very good organizational skills as well as a structured and independent way of working

• Confident handling of MS Office, especially Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

• Experience with SAP

• Service orientation and pragmatic hands-on mentality

• Carefulness and accuracy, especially in administrative and financial matters

• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken

• Discretion and trustworthiness
