Join the GSK’s Apprentice Program: Help us get ahead of disease together

Education required: You are regularly enrolled in a apprenticeship (alternance) Master in Business Analyst or Digital Transformation in an Educational Establishment located in Belgium.

Language requirement:

  • French and English (English B2 required).

  • A basic level of Dutch (B1) is an asset.

Other requirements:

  • A genuine interest in information systems development and in laboratory automation / robotics.

  • Familiarity with requirements analysis, process modelling or Agile project methods is a plus.

Expected start date: October 2026

Work arrangements: Hybrid (on‑site in Belgium with limited remote work possibilities)

Requisite: You are currently following a work-linked (alternance) training course at a Belgian educational establishment. The apprenticeship must be mandatory & done in the framework of the curriculum, for which an agreement must be signed between GSK, the student and the Educational Establishment.

What will you do?

Are you passionate about analysing business needs and shaping the digital systems that drive automation and robotics?

Join our dynamic team as a Business Analyst apprentice and become the bridge between our laboratory users and the technical teams – from eliciting requirements to validating the delivered solution. You will gain solid, real-world experience on concrete information-system projects. 

  • Analyse & model business needs: Work with laboratory users and automation experts to elicit, analyse and formalise the business and functional requirements for our automation and lab-robotics information systems. 

  • Bridge business and IT: Act as the link between users and the development / automation teams, translating user needs into clear functional specifications and user requirement specifications (URS). 

  • Support project delivery: Help prioritise requirements, follow up on the development, manage stakeholders and contribute to planning and tracking of the IT projects (Agile / SCRUM context). 

  • Validate & document solutions: Test and validate the delivered solutions (user acceptance), report and follow up on issues, and document processes, data flows and user guides. 

  • Promote adoption (up to ~20% of your time): Contribute to the visibility of our Automation Community of Practice through newsletters, short videos and internal content highlighting the benefits of automation. 

What are we looking for?

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Show us how you can solve difficult problems and think analytically. 

  • Eliciting & translating needs: Demonstrate your ability to gather user needs and translate them into structured requirements and simple models. 

  • Open to Feedback: Be ready to listen to feedback and make improvements. Good listening and communication skills are important for this role. 

  • Requirements & project methods: Any experience with requirements gathering, process modelling (UML/BPMN) or Agile project methods is a strong plus. 

  • Soft Skills: Show that you can adapt to new situations and work well with others. Being flexible, resilient, and a good team player is essential in our fast-changing technological environment.
